senior session EMILY – Class of 2020

Emily and I got creative when we scheduled her high school senior session because, COVID. We actually met twice. Once right after our county health order was lifted, and again when we were able to meet together for a longer session. Yes, we were safe. I wore a mask the entire time. Of course, she took hers off because she didn’t really want all of her photos to include a mask. Although that would have been memorable for sure!

The location we chose was empty of other people, which was nice. But it was full of beautiful green grass and budding trees. This time of the year is my very favorite time to photograph. Unfortunately it’s also just after the Christmas rush when all the families have just finished their family sessions. But this is a great time for high school seniors! If you’re ever wondering what time of the year is best for photos, I will lean toward the spring. It’s absolutely gorgeous here in northern California!

Although her senior year was disrupted and she missed many of the common senior year milestones, she has the best attitude! Talk about positivity! She is focusing on what’s ahead for her as she heads out to Utah to start school at BYU. I’m so excited to see what lies in store for this strong, kind, and beautiful soul. I imagine she will make the world a better place through her talents and abilities. Best wishes, Emily! Thank you for choosing me to do your senior session.
