Hanna and Carrie are cousins who requested to have a joint senior portrait session together to celebrate their graduation this past spring. We did their senior portrait session at one of my favorite spots in Walnut Creek. It was a beautiful evening with the perfect light. Did I mention it was spring, my very favorite time to shoot senior portrait sessions in the Bay Area? It’s beautiful and green and the light is so pretty. The grass hasn’t turned yellow yet. And the weather isn’t too hot and isn’t too cold. In fact, it’s usually just right unless we get rain, which isn’t often enough.
These girls were both troopers! They had several outfit changes and we walked up and down the hills to get a variety of locations. The clothing they chose was perfect for the location. The colors and textures popped against the backdrop of greenery and trees and California grasses. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m so happy they chose me to take their senior portraits to commemorate this milestone in their lives. I’m so excited for their future as BYU students and beyond. They are on their way to making a difference in the world! Congratulations Carrie and Hanna on your graduation and as new BYU students.
