As a newborn photographer, photographing a newborn at home with the family is an honor. The newborn stage is fleetingly fast. They change from a delicate newborn covered in downy fuzz to a roly poly baby in the blink of an eye and if you’re the parents or the siblings, you don’t want to miss a moment. I always feel honored to be invited into your home during those first few weeks of a newborn’s life to document the bonding that’s enfolding right before my eyes. As much as I adore the photographs of newborns in baskets and in tiny beanies and hanging from tree branches, that style just doesn’t fit me. My approach is an honest peek into what real life with a newborn looks like. Photographs of big sisters singing songs to the baby and Mom spending an intimate moment rocking baby in the nursery and Dad juggling baby and big brother at the same time. Those are the moments you’ll look back on and remember with nostalgia and love. Your story is what I love to photograph the very most!
